Let’s Heal Abbas’s Heart with Open-Heart Surgery

Muhammad Abbas's Story
Muhammad Abbas is a 1-year-old boy from Layyah who has been struggling with shortness of breath and chest discomfort since birth. His parents noticed that he becomes breathless and his skin develops a bluish tint even after mild to moderate physical activity. After a recent visit to the doctor and some diagnostic tests, Abbas was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a serious congenital heart defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. To correct the defects in his heart, the doctor has recommended angiography followed by open-heart surgery for total correction.
Without timely surgery, Muhammad Abbas’s condition may deteriorate over time. It may lead to heart failure or even sudden complications that can be fatal. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is overwhelming for his family.
Muhammad Abbas lives in a modest home with his parents. His father works as a laborer, earning just 15,000 PKR per month. They struggle to manage their household expenses, including utility bills and grocery expenses. Despite their best efforts, the family’s financial situation makes it impossible for them to afford the costly surgery. During this tough time, they turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Abbas’s parents expressed their emotions as follows:
“Our hearts break seeing our little boy struggle every day. He is our only child, and we just want to save his life. The surgery is our only hope, but we cannot afford it. We humbly request your support in saving our child’s life.”
