Obaid ullah Shahid's Story

Obaid Ullah Shahid is a 12-year-old boy from Lahore who has been suffering from a lump in the lower quadrant of his abdomen on the left side. This lump has not only caused discomfort but also led to pain, especially while sitting. His condition has significantly affected his daily activities and ability to attend school comfortably. Recently, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a thorough medical evaluation, Obaid was diagnosed with a Left Inguinal Hernia, a condition in which soft tissue bulges through a weak point in the abdominal muscles. To treat this condition and alleviate his pain, the doctor has advised Herniotomy, a surgical procedure to repair the hernia.

Without this surgery, his condition may lead to serious complications such as:

Strangulation

Severe abdominal pain

Intestinal obstruction

Intestinal tissue death (necrosis)

Need for emergency surgery

Obaid’s father works as a car mechanic and earns just PKR 45,000 per month. With a house rent of PKR 9,000, utility bills of PKR 3,000, and educational expenses of around PKR 7,000, the family finds it difficult to manage healthcare expenses. The cost of Obaid’s surgery is beyond their reach.

Living in a rented house with limited financial resources, the family is in desperate need of support to make this surgery possible. Obaid Ullah’s parents reached out to Transparent Hands and expressed their heartfelt plea as follows:

“Our son’s condition is getting worse day by day. It’s heartbreaking to see him in pain and unable to enjoy the precious moments of his childhood. As parents, we just want Obaid’s recovery. Kindly be generous and donate to our son’s surgery.”

By contributing to Obaid’s surgery, you can relieve the persistent pain and help him return to a normal, active life. Donate now, as your generous support can make a lasting difference in his life.
