Restore Attique’s Eyesight with Cataract Surgery

Attique Ahmad's Story
Attique Ahmad, a 40-year-old man from Vehari, Punjab, is suffering from blurry and dim vision. Due to his visual impairment, he faces difficulty seeing his loved ones’ faces and performing his daily tasks. Moreover, he experiences immense challenges while working as a rickshaw driver. Concerned, he visited a doctor at a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing some necessary tests and examinations, the doctor diagnosed Attique with a Cataract in the left eye. To restore his vision, the doctor has recommended left-sided Phaco + IOL surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is out of his financial capacity.
Attique’s condition is getting worse over time. If he does not undergo surgery soon, the cataract may lead to complete vision loss in his left eye.
Attique lives in a modest home with his wife and four children. He is the sole breadwinner of his household, works as a rickshaw driver, and earns just PKR 20,000 per month. They face multiple expenses such as utility bills amounting to PKR 4000 and educational fees of PKR 5000. Given their financial situation, Attique is unable to pay for his surgery. During this tough time, he turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Expressing his despair, Attique said:
“I am unable to see clearly, and this condition has made it extremely difficult to continue driving my rickshaw. I am deeply worried about my family’s survival. I request you to help me undergo this surgery so I can live a fulfilling and independent life.”
