Support Sanam Amir’s Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Sanam Amir's Story
Sanam Amir, a 37-year-old woman from Hyderabad, is experiencing pain in her upper right abdominal region. She often faces nausea and vomiting, especially after eating anything fatty. Worried about her condition, she went to a local hospital. After a detailed evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis – formation of crystalized deposits in the gallbladder. To alleviate her discomfort and prevent further complications, the doctor has advised laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Unfortunately, the surgical cost is overwhelming for her family.
Her condition is gradually worsening. Without timely surgery, Sanam risks complications like gallbladder infection or bile duct blockage, which may seriously impact her health and quality of life.
Sanam lives in a modest rented home with her six family members. Sanam’s husband is a laborer and earns a monthly income of just PKR 20,000. He is the sole provider for a family of seven. Half of his income goes towards paying house rent of PKR 10,000 and the rest is used to meet basic living expenses. With such tight finances, affording the surgical cost is simply beyond their reach.
Sanam shared her heartfelt plea as follows:
“It’s painful not just physically, but also emotionally. I can’t eat properly, work properly, or be there for my children like I used to. I just want to feel normal again. I request you to kindly help me recover from this illness.”
This is where you can make a difference. Your generosity can help Sanam receive the surgery. Let’s join hands to bring her lasting relief from pain and restore her ability to live a fulfilling and healthy life with her loved ones.

Sanam Amir's Story
Sanam Amir, a 37-year-old woman from Hyderabad, had been experiencing pain in the upper right side of her abdomen for several months. Her discomfort increased after meals, especially those containing fatty foods. She frequently experienced nausea and vomiting, which made it difficult for her to eat or carry out household tasks. Worried about her deteriorating condition, Sanam visited a local hospital for a thorough medical check-up. After an ultrasound and lab investigations, the doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis. To relieve her symptoms and prevent further complications, her doctor recommended a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Unfortunately, the cost of the procedure was well beyond what Sanam’s family could afford. Sanam lives in a modest rented home with her husband and six other family members. Her husband works as a laborer and earns just PKR 20,000 a month. With this limited income, he struggles to cover essential household expenses, including rent, food, and utility bills. With seven people relying on a single income, even basic necessities are difficult to manage. Saving for a surgical procedure seemed impossible under these circumstances. During this moment of hardship, Sanam and her family turned to Transparent Hands. After listening to their concerns, we swiftly registered her case. On May 18, 2025, Sanam was admitted to Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. Dr. Aftab Ahmed Soomro successfully performed the laparoscopic cholecystectomy. After receiving post-operative care, Sanam was discharged in good health on May 21, 2025. With a smile of relief, Sanam said: “This pain used to control my life. Now, because of your help, I feel like myself again. I’m so grateful to everyone who made this surgery possible for me.” Sanam is now free from the persistent pain that once held her back. Her family is overjoyed to see her well again and deeply grateful to you for supporting her when they had no one else to turn to.
