Tahira Bibi Needs Cardiac Surgery to Overcome Her Heart Defects

Tahira bibi Muhammad Tariq's Story
Tahira Bibi, a 2-year-old girl from Rahim Yar Khan, has been battling with breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. Simple activities like feeding, laughing, and crying leave her gasping for air. Moreover, her skin and lips often take on a bluish color. Upon noticing her inability to breathe freely, her parents took her to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed Tahira with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a congenital heart defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. To correct this defect, the doctor has advised an angiography and open-heart surgery for total correction. However, the surgical cost is beyond her family’s financial capacity.
If left untreated, Tahira’s condition may result in:
· Irreversible damage to the heart and lungs
· Limited physical and cognitive development
· Increased risk of heart failure
· Potentially life-threatening complications
Tahira lives in a modest home with her parents and one sibling. Her father, the sole provider for the family, is a farmer and brings in just PKR 12,000 per month. This income barely covers their utility bills, as well as food expenses. Every day is a challenge for them to put food on the table and meet other living expenses. Due to their financial constraints, they can’t afford to pay for Tahira’s life-saving cardiac surgery. They have reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Tahira’s parents said in despair:
“At such a young age, Tahira is battling with a life-threatening disease. Not being able to help her is a very painful feeling for us. We don’t have enough money to pay for her surgery. Kindly donate to our daughter’s heart surgery.”
Tahira’s parents are placing their hopes in your hands. Together, we can save her life. Contribute now.
