Abdul Rehman 's Story
Abdul Rehman, a seven-year-old resident of Sheikhupura, has been suffering from Tachycardia, fever and swelling in his legs since birth. Upon consultation and work up, he was diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect. The doctor advised Rehman to undergo Closure of Atrial Septal Defect surgery. Hence he was sent to University of Lahore Teaching Hospital for his procedure. His surgery was done by Dr. Faiz Rasool on 16-11-2021 with the help of Pakistan Children Heart’s Foundation. At the time of surgery, he was found to have a PDA defect, which was ligated at the same time. His surgery was a success, he was discharged after nine days of hospital stay in satisfactory condition. He has now healed and is looking forward to a bright future ahead.
