Abdul Waris’s ACL reconstruction was successful
Abdul Waris's Story
Abdul Waris, 34 years, a resident of Mardan met a horrific road accident a year ago in which he sustained blunt trauma to his left knee. After a thorough checkup and an MRI, the doctor diagnosed him with an ACL and meniscus injury. An ACL injury is a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament which is one of the major ligaments that support your knee whereas a meniscus injury is a tear in the cartilage that cushions the knee joint. For treatment, his doctor advised left ACL reconstruction.
For this purpose, Abdul Waris was admitted to the Northwest General Hospital & Research Center, where the surgery was carried out by Dr. Khushnood Ali Baz on 24.02.2021. He was discharged from the hospital in satisfactory condition after two days of stay. As a result of this surgery, Abdul Waris will now hopefully regain full range of knee movements again.
