Amjad Got his Artificial Arm
Muhammad Amjad 's Story
Amjad, a 38-year-old resident of Jhang, had his left arm amputated in 2005 due to a severe injury. He was using a non-functional artificial arm, but it was damaged in a road accident six months ago. He needed an artificial limb to restore the shape of his left arm. He could not afford to pay for it due to financial constraints.
He reached out to Transparent Hands, and we registered his case. Under the supervision of Dr. Khalid at Hope Rehabilitation Centre, his left below-elbow prosthesis was fixed on 5-06-2023.
Amjad’s life changed drastically when he got an elbow prosthesis as a gift. This gave him a chance to live a full and confident life once again. The fact that his arm did not work used to be a constant reminder of his disability, but as he got used to the freedom and power the prosthesis gave him, it became a distant memory.
With the help of the functional elbow prosthesis, Amjad was able to do everyday tasks like holding a cup or carrying something with ease and confidence. This is something that many people might take for granted. These simple things turned out to be important turning points in Amjad’s life. They reaffirmed his sense of purpose and reminded him that, with the right help, he could reach any goal.
The prosthesis did more than just fix Amjad’s left arm. It also helped heal the emotional wounds he had been carrying for years. His disability’s invisible but significant weight started to lift, and a fresh sense of strength and self-assurance took place. Amjad was filled with gratitude as he thanked the generous donors who had helped him get his confidence back. The prosthesis not only improved Amjad’s physical outlook but also gave him newfound optimism and energy for living. Donate to help more people like Amjad.
