Areeba Batool's Story

Three-year-old Areeba, a resident of Khushab had been suffering from shortness of breath, nausea, and irregular heartbeat since birth. She was also unable to gain weight. Her parents came to know about her condition when she was only five months old. After running some diagnostic tests, the cardiologist diagnosed her with Tetralogy of Fallot. The cardiovascular surgeon advised her to undergo Open-Heart Surgery for Total Correction. Areeba was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore where her operation was performed by Dr. Asim Khan on 13-10-2022. She was discharged after seven days of stay in the hospital. The support of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation made this surgery possible. She is in stable condition now.
