Azaim Ali Has Found Relief After Hernioplasty

Azaim Ali's Story

Azaim Ali, a 13-year-old boy from Lahore, was suffering from pain and discomfort in his right inguinal region. What started as a mild discomfort soon turned into a painful condition which affected his ability to perform his routine tasks. Azaim had a lump in his right inguinal region which was continuously increasing in size. Worried, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Azaim with right inguinal hernia. To prevent further complications, his doctor strongly recommended right inguinal hernioplasty. Unfortunately, the surgical cost was overwhelming for his family.

Azaim lived in a small home with his six family members. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, worked as a daily wage laborer and made just PKR 40,000 per month. With this insufficient monthly income, it was a significant challenge for them to pay for their utility bills, and grocery expenses. It was impossible for Azaim’s parents to afford the surgery. During this challenging time, Azaim’s family reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance. After listening to their concerns, we promptly registered his case.

On January 14, 2025, Azaim was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Lahore. The surgery was scheduled for the same day. Dr. Ahmed Fawad skillfully performed the surgery successfully. After receiving post-operative care, Azaim was discharged in satisfactory condition from the hospital on January 15, 2025.
