Muhammad Umer's Story
Four-year-old Muhammad Umer, a resident of Charsadda, had sensorineural hearing loss since birth. Upon consultation at a local hospital, the doctor advised Cochlear Implant Surgery. He was admitted to Ali Medical Centre, Islamabad, where Dr. Jawwad Ahmed performed his operation on 14-06-2022. The doctor fixed the internal component of the Cochlear Implant successfully. He was discharged after one day of hospital stay. The external component of his Cochlear Implant was fixed after six weeks. He can identify different sounds now.
