Faris’s congenital cardiac defect was repaired
Faris Ali 's Story
Faris Ali, 7 years old, was very weak since his birth. He got breathless on mild exertion and his lips turned blue. On medical consultation, it was discovered that he suffered from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). The doctor advised an open heart surgery for him. For this reason, he was admitted in University of Lahore Teaching Hospital and his TOF repair surgery was performed by Dr. Salman Ahmed Shah on 28.10.2020. Faris stayed in the hospital for seven days and was discharged in a stable condition. He is recovering well from his major surgery. The surgery was conducted with the support of Pakistan Children Heart foundation and other donors.
