Iman Fatima Had a Successful Open-Heart Surgery
Iman Fatima's Story
Iman Fatima, a 5-year-old girl from Chiniot, was suffering from frequent episodes of chest pain, breathlessness, and an inability to gain weight since birth. Concerned about their daughter’s health, her parents went to a nearby hospital. After a series of medical tests and evaluations, Iman had a shocking diagnosis – she was suffering from multiple heart defects. The heart conditions included TGA (Transposition of the Great Arteries), VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect), and PS (Pulmonary Stenosis).
The doctor recommended Open-Heart Surgery for Rastelli procedure and VSD closure, as the only solution to save Iman’s life. However, the financial burden of the desired surgery was overwhelming for Iman’s father. His limited income made it impossible for her family to afford the cost of her surgery. Desperate for a solution, Iman’s family reached out to Transparent Hands, Recognizing the urgency of Iman’s situation, we swiftly stepped in to ensure that her vital surgery would become a reality.
