Iqra Bibi, a 15-year-old resident of Muzzaffargarh, Pakistan, is currently facing a significant health challenge that demands immediate attention and support. Diagnosed with endophthalmitis in her right eye, Iqra has endured not only the loss of vision, but also the disfigurement of her eye, greatly impacting her overall quality of life. Recognizing the urgency of her situation, the recommended course of action to address her disfigured fornix involves a complex surgical procedure involving (R) fornix reconstruction and canthotomy.

Regrettably, Iqra’s family finds themselves burdened by the substantial financial costs associated with the necessary surgical expenses. In their time of need, they reached out to Transparent Hands, and we are committed to providing financial assistance.

With the support of Transparent Hands, Iqra was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Teaching Hospital in Multan, where Dr. Syed Hassan skillfully performed the surgery on January 19, 2024. Following a day of post-operative care, Iqra was deemed fit for discharge from the hospital.
