Istikhar Ahmed's Story

Istikhar Ahmed, a 50-year-old resident of Kasur, was suffering from diabetes. He developed a right foot infection six months ago. With the passage of time, the infection in his foot worsened and progressed to gangrene. He went to a doctor at the local hospital. The doctor told him that untreated gangrene could damage limb tissues and other organs in the body. The doctor had to amputate his right leg above the knee to avoid severe complications from gangrene. As he could not afford to pay for an artificial leg, he contacted Hope Rehabilitation Centre and Transparent Hands.

His artificial leg was fixed on 4-03-2023 under the supervision of Dr.Khalid. Istikhar is now filled with gratitude and relief as he takes his first steps with an artificial leg independently. It’s amazing to see how a little help from generous people like you has changed Istikhar’s life forever.
