Jan Muhammad’s VSD Closure was Successfully Performed
Jan Muhammad's Story
Jan Muhammad, an 8-year-old resident of Turbat, had been enduring difficulty in breathing and discoloration since birth. His parents took him to a nearby hospital where he was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). He was not healthy enough to undergo surgery and the doctors asked his parents to wait. In a recent consultation, the doctor advised him to undergo Ventricular Septal Defect Closure surgery as a lasting cure. For this purpose, he was sent to the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi. His procedure was done by Dr. Waris Ahmed on 09-12-2021. He stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in satisfactory condition. Jan Muhammad is now slowly recovering and looks forward to a healthy bright future.
