Muhammad Jawad, a 22-year-old resident of Lahore, has lived a life shrouded in silence due to sensorineural hearing loss since birth. Concerned for their beloved son, Jawad’s parents sought medical intervention, leading them to a pivotal moment in their journey. The doctor’s diagnosis was clear; he required cochlear implant surgery to restore his hearing. However, this life-changing procedure comes at a hefty cost, making it nearly impossible for his family to afford it.

He was admitted to the National Hospital and Medical Center, Lahore, where Dr. Naveed Aslam performed his operation on 3-06-2023. The doctor fixed the internal component of the cochlear implant, and the operation was successful. He was discharged after one day in the hospital. However, the journey to full restoration of his hearing was not yet complete. After a few weeks, the external component of the cochlear implant was fixed, paving the way for a world of sound for him.
