Muhammad Jawad, a 22-year-old resident of Lahore, has lived a life shrouded in silence due to sensorineural hearing loss since birth. The doctor’s diagnosis was clear; he required cochlear implant surgery to restore his hearing. The doctor fixed the internal component of the cochlear implant, and the operation was successful. He was discharged after one day in the hospital. However, the journey to full restoration of his hearing was not yet complete. After a few weeks, the external component of the cochlear implant was fixed, paving the way for a world of sound for him.
