Kausar Bibi’s Thyroidectomy was Successful

Kausar Bibi's Story
Kausar Bibi, a 30-year-old woman from Lahore, had spent the past two years suffering from a health condition. It all began when she noticed a lump developing at the front of her neck. Hoping it would resolve on its own, she relied on simple treatments for relief. However, the lump only continued to grow, bringing her increasing discomfort and worry. Concerned for her health, Kausar consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination and some diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed her with Multinodular Goiter (MNG), a condition marked by multiple nodules growing within the thyroid gland. To prevent serious complications, the doctor strongly recommended a subtotal thyroidectomy.
Unfortunately, the cost of this crucial surgery was far beyond Kausar’s means. Her husband runs a small fruit stall in a local market, earning only around PKR 30,000 per month. With seven children to care for, every rupee of his income goes towards putting food on the table and paying utility bills, leaving nothing to set aside for costly treatments. Desperate to find help, Kausar’s family turned to Transparent Hands. Moved by their plea, we registered her case.
On June 13, 2025, Kausar was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Lahore. Dr. Ahmed Fawad successfully performed her subtotal thyroidectomy on June 14, 205. With post-operative care, she was discharged in satisfactory condition on June 15, 2025.
Kausar expressed her happiness as follows:
“Your kindness has given me back my health and eased my daily struggles. I can now eat without pain and live without constant fear. Thank you for standing by me when I had nowhere else to turn. I will always remember your generosity.”
With your generous support, Kausar can now focus on caring for her family without the heavy burden of illness. You enabled her to have a healthy life with new hope and courage. Kausar and her family extend their deepest gratitude to you for helping them during their time of need.
