Khuram Shahzad is learning to walk with his new prosthetic leg
Khurram Shahzad's Story
Khuram Shahzad, aged 46, a resident of Gujrat, had a roadside accident 1 year ago. The doctors diagnosed him with an infection and a fracture in his right leg. He was treated but his infection did not settle after the treatment. As a result the doctors decided to amputate his right leg from above knee level. After the amputation, Khuram Shahzad was unable to walk normally for 1 year. Now, in order to perform his normal daily activities he required a right above knee prosthesis. For this purpose, he was sent to Hope Rehabilitation Centre where he received his new prosthetic leg after consultation with Dr. Khalid Niazi on 04.08.2021. He is adapting to his new leg after the placement.
