Mahak Waqar's Story

Mahak Waqar, a resilient 8-year-old from Dera Ghazi Khan, embarked on an extraordinary journey towards a healthier heart. Admitted to UOLTH (University of Lahore Teaching Hospital) on 18th December 2023, Mahak and her family clung to hope for a brighter future. Mahak was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect known as tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex condition that affects the structure of the heart.

Under the skilled care of the talented surgical team, led by Dr. TOF repair, Mahak underwent a life-changing procedure called TOF repair on 20th December 2023. The surgery aimed to correct the structural abnormalities in Mahak’s heart, enabling improved blood flow and overall cardiac function.
