Mahak Waqar's Story

Mahak Waqar, a resilient 8-year-old from Dera Ghazi Khan, embarked on an extraordinary journey towards a healthier heart. Admitted to UOLTH (University of Lahore Teaching Hospital) on 18th December 2023, Mahak and her family clung to hope for a brighter future. Mahak was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect known as tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex condition that affects the structure of the heart.

Under the skilled care of the talented surgical team, led by Dr. TOF repair, Mahak underwent a life-changing procedure called TOF repair on 20th December 2023. The surgery aimed to correct the structural abnormalities in Mahak’s heart, enabling improved blood flow and overall cardiac function. This procedure marked a significant milestone in Mahak’s journey towards a healthier and more vibrant life.

Throughout her hospital stay, Mahak received exceptional care from the dedicated medical team at UOLTH.
