Mima Ashraf Gave Birth to a Baby Girl

Mima Ashraf's Story

Mima Ashraf, a 29-year-old woman from Karachi, was approaching the end of her pregnancy with mixed feelings of joy and worry. She was excited to welcome her fourth child into the world. However, her happiness was overshadowed by deep concern due to her medical history. She had already undergone three C-sections in the past. Her doctor, understanding the risks involved, strongly recommended another C-section to protect the health and lives of both the mother and baby.

Unfortunately, the cost of this essential procedure was far beyond what Mima and her husband could afford. Mima lives in a small rented house with her husband and three children. Her husband works at a private company, earning a modest monthly income of PKR 30,000. This amount barely covers their rent, groceries, utility bills, and the needs of their growing children. It leaves them with no savings to rely on for unexpected medical expenses. During this difficult time, Mima and her husband turned to Transparent Hands after learning about our mission. They reached out with hope, and we quickly registered Mima’s case to ensure that she would receive timely care.

On June 10, 2025, Mima was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Samreen Zeeshan skillfully performed her C-section, bringing a healthy baby girl safely into the world. Both Mima and her newborn received proper post-operative and neonatal care. Mima was discharged in good health, along with her baby, on June 12, 2025.

Holding her baby in her arms, Mima shared her feelings as follows:

“We were so worried about how we would afford this surgery. Your kindness made it possible for me to bring my daughter into this world safely. I am extremely thankful to you for supporting my C-section.”
