Minal Khan's Story
Two-year-old Minal, a resident of Mansehra, has been suffering from hearing impairment since birth. Her parents noticed that she was not responding to their voices when she was just one year old, and their worst fears were confirmed by medical tests and consultations with the doctors. She was diagnosed with sensorineural deafness. Her doctor advised cochlear implant surgery. Her family could not afford the procedure. She was admitted to Ali Medical Complex, Islamabad, where Dr. Jawwad skillfully performed the cochlear implant surgery on 20-06-2023. The doctor successfully implanted the internal component with accuracy and expertise, constituting an important step in her quest for hearing restoration. After just one day in the hospital, she was discharged with renewed hope.
