Muhammad Arish is No Longer Experiencing Pain

Muhammad Arish's Story
Muhammad Arish, a 9-year-old boy from Karachi, had been experiencing repeated bouts of sore throat and fever intermittently for four years. His illness badly affected his ability to focus on his studies and participate in physical activities like other kids of his age. His parents took him to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor. The doctor conducted some lab tests and an ultrasound scan and diagnosed Arish with Adeno-tonsillitis. To give him relief from his symptoms, his doctor recommended an adeno-tonsillectomy. However, the surgical cost was beyond his family’s financial capacity.
Arish was living in a small 2-marla rented house with his parents and two siblings. His father worked as a daily wage laborer and used to make just PKR 30,000 per month. With this meager monthly income, he hardly covered house rent, utility bills, educational expenses as well as groceries. They had no savings at all and affording to pay for his surgery was just a distant dream for his family. That’s when Transparent Hands stepped in to provide support to Arish. The generosity of our donors enabled us to arrange surgery for Arish at one of our panel hospitals.
On 21st August 2024, Arish was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. The surgery took place on the same day. His tonsillectomy was performed by Dr. Mubashir. After receiving post-operative care and essential medications, Arish was discharged from the hospital in stable condition on 22nd August 2024.
After the successful surgery, Arish was happy and he said:
“Before surgery, I was scared but you supported me a lot. For a long time, I was struggling to play with my friends. I am thankful to you for helping me.”
Not only did you help him get rid of his chronic illness but also allowed him to have a happy life where he could pursue his dreams.
Arish and his family extend their deepest gratitude to you for being a miracle during his time of need.
