Muhammad Faheem’s surgery was successful. It wouldn’t have been possible without your help!
Muhammad Faheem 's Story
Muhammad Faheem, 12 years old, was experiencing shortness of breath due to the slightest of exertion while growing up. He was diagnosed with ventricular septal defect (a hole in the wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart). He was advised to get an open-heart surgery to close this defect.
His surgery was done at Ittefaq Hospital with help from Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation on 30-06-20 by Dr. Salman A. Shah. His post-op notes suggested that he was recovering but was shifted to an ICU for better monitoring. Later Muhammad Faheem was transferred to another ward where he remained admitted for three days. He was discharged with stable vitals and in a satisfactory condition. Present-day, Faheem has resumed living his normal life.
