Muhammad Farooq's Story

The life of Muhammad Farooq took an unexpected turn four years ago when he experienced a life-changing accident while working on a construction site in Kamoke. The accident resulted in the severe crushing of his left leg, and he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The medical team, faced with a lack of adequate blood supply and the development of gangrene, had no choice but to amputate his leg. This sudden loss left Muhammad devastated and dependent on a prosthetic leg for mobility.

For the next three years, Farooq relied on his prosthetic leg, which served as a valuable aid in his day-to-day life. However, like any mechanical device, it eventually wore out, leaving him in a difficult situation. Without enough funds to afford a new artificial leg, Muhammad Farooq independence and mobility were once again at stake.

Fortunately, the generous donations he received from compassionate individuals led him to the Hope Rehabilitation Centre. There, under the care of the proficient Dr. Khalid Niaz and his skilled medical team, Farooq’s journey towards regaining his mobility began. On January 18, 2024, the medical team worked tirelessly to custom-fit a new artificial leg according to his size and needs.

This moment marked a significant turning point in Farooq’s life. The newly provided prosthetic limb went beyond being a physical aid; it became a symbol of hope, resilience, and the opportunity for Farooq to feed his family. We played a pivotal role in facilitating this transformation by providing the necessary means for Farooq to regain his independence and mobility.

With the aid of his replaced artificial leg, Farooq once again regained the ability to walk. This newfound mobility granted him a sense of independence and freedom that he had longed for. Despite the challenges he had faced, Farooq now faced the future with renewed determination and optimism.
