Muhammad Huzaifa 's Story

Muhammad Huzaifa, 1.5 years old, suffered from severe abdominal pain and discomfort. After extensive examination, the doctors decided to perform an explorative laparotomy on Huzaifa. At the time of surgery, he was found to have intussusception leading to intestinal gangrene. They resected his gangrenous gut and performed a double barrel ileostomy. In ileostomy surgery, the small intestine is diverted and temporarily taken out onto the abdomen. Now, the doctors advised an ileostomy reversal surgery for Huzaifa. For this purpose he was admitted to Akram Medical Complex, where he underwent colostomy closure by Dr. Bilal Mirza on 29.03.2021. He stayed in the hospital for five days and was discharged in a stable condition. Now during post-operative recovery, Muhammad Huzaifa is looking forward to leading a normal life.
