Muhammad Subhan, a 13-year-old resident of Sialkot, found himself grappling with alarming symptoms of shortness of breath and cyanosis, indicating a severe decline in his health. Recognizing the urgency, his parents wasted no time and promptly sought medical attention at a nearby hospital, where they were advised to consult with a cardiologist.

Following an array of diagnostic tests and a thorough evaluation, the cardiologist delivered a concerning diagnosis: Muhammad Subhan was suffering from multiple heart defects, including subaortic stenosis and moderate mitral regurgitation. It became evident that surgical intervention was essential to address these underlying cardiac issues and restore his cardiovascular health. The cardiac surgeon recommended open-heart surgery to repair both the aortic valve (AV) and the mitral valve (MV), a procedure that would rectify the existing complications and ensure optimal cardiac function.

Unfortunately, Muhammad Subhan’s father faced financial instability, with no other means of income. The burden of the necessary surgical expenses seemed insurmountable for the family. On September 14, 2023, under the skilled hands of Dr. Asim Khan, the life-saving surgery was successfully performed. The procedure involved repairing both the aortic valve and the mitral valve. Muhammad Subhan received comprehensive care during his seven-day hospital stay, ensuring a successful recovery.
