Neelam Bibi's Story

Neelam, a 26-year-old woman from Karachi, was awaiting the arrival of her child. Due to her previous C-section surgery, she consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination, the doctor advised that another C-section would be necessary as she had some complications in her pregnancy. Neelam knew this surgery was essential, but the financial strain was overwhelming.

Neelam’s husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and makes just PKR 25000 per month. With three children to support in addition to the house rent, bills, and educational expenses, the cost of the surgery was simply out of his financial capacity. In this time of need, Neelam reached out to Transparent Hands for help. We listened to her concerns and immediately stepped in to help her. The generous support of our donors enabled Neelam to proceed with the C-section.

On 29-05-2024, Neelam was admitted to Murshid Hospital Karachi, and her C-section surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Samreen. Neelam gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Holding her baby in her arms, Neelam got emotional and her heart was filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and relief.

She was happily discharged after three days of hospitalization. Neelam said with happiness:

“I am very grateful to you as you supported me in this time of hardship. Knowing my baby and I are safe means everything to me. Your generosity helped me bring my son into this world.”

This successful surgery has given her the peace of mind she needed for her recovery. She can now embrace her motherhood fully, knowing that both she and her baby are healthy.
