Neelum Ijaz Delivered a Beautiful Baby Girl

Neelum Ijaz's Story

Neelum Ijaz, a 28-year-old woman from Lahore, faced challenges when she was pregnant with her first child. She found herself filled with both joy and anxiety. During a routine ultrasound scan, her doctor discovered a serious complication—Placenta Previa. This condition occurs when the placenta is positioned low in the uterus, covering part or all of the cervix. To protect both Neelum and her baby, the doctor strongly advised a C-section for childbirth. However, the cost of the procedure was far beyond the family’s financial means.

Neelum lives in a modest rented home in Lahore with her husband, who holds a private job. He earns just PKR 33,000 per month, a limited income that is barely enough to cover rent, groceries, and utility bills. With no savings or financial backup, they simply couldn’t afford the surgery. Neelum and her husband were left feeling helpless and fearful. They longed to hold their newborn in their arms, but didn’t know how they would manage the expense of a safe delivery. During this critical time, Neelum reached out to Transparent Hands for support. Moved by her plea, we registered her case.

On May 23, 2025, Neelum was admitted to Akram Medical Complex in Lahore. Dr. Asia performed her C-section, and Neelum gave birth to a healthy baby girl. After receiving proper post-operative care, she was discharged in good condition on May 24, 2025.

With emotion and gratitude, Neelum said:
