Rehana Khatoon's Story

Rehana Khatoon, a 28-year-old resident of Ghotki, Sindh, was expecting her third baby. She had already delivered two babies through C-Section in the past. Because of her past history, the doctor advised C-Section this time to avoid complications and risks. Rehana’s husband is jobless and her father-in-law hardly manages all household expenses. They could not afford to pay for the C-Section. They contacted Transparent Hands to seek support for the operation. She was admitted to Lala Medical Complex and her operation was performed by Dr. Shumaila on 09-06-2022. Rehana delivered a healthy baby girl and was discharged from the hospital after a one-day stay. Both the mother and the child are healthy.
