Robina’s Myomectomy Restored Her Quality of Life
Robina Bibi's Story
Robina, a 32-year-old resident of Lahore, was experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding, weakness, and constant fatigue. These symptoms severely impacted her ability to care for her family and fulfill her household responsibilities. Concerned about her worsening condition, Robina received a medical consultation from a doctor. After diagnostic tests, the doctor confirmed the presence of uterine fibroids and recommended a Myomectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the fibroids. However, the cost of the procedure was beyond her family’s financial means.
Robina lived in a modest house with her family of seven members. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, worked as an office assistant at a hotel. His meager monthly income hardly covered their necessities. Due to their financial constraints, it was impossible for them to afford the costly surgery. Robia was scared about the circumstances. During this time of need, Robina turned to Transparent Hands for support. Upon hearing her story, we immediately registered Robina’s case to ensure she received timely assistance.
On November 14, 2024, Robina was admitted to the Akram Medical Complex in Lahore. The surgery took place on the same day and it was successfully performed by Dr. Asia. Robina stayed in the hospital for two days under close observation and received post-operative care. She was discharged in satisfactory condition on November 16, 2024.
Robina expressed her heartfelt gratitude by saying:
“I had lost hope, but you became my lifeline. I am finally free from the pain and discomfort that controlled my life. I am immensely thankful to you for helping me during my time of need.”
Today, Robina is healing and looks forward to a healthier future. The surgery has not only improved her physical health but also restored her ability to care for her family with new hope and energy. Her family extends their deepest appreciation to you for changing Robina’s life.
