Rukhsana Welcomes a Healthy Baby Boy
Syeda Rukhsana's Story
Syeda Rukhsana, a resilient 38-year-old mother from Lahore, found herself in a challenging situation as she anticipated the arrival of her third child. Faced with the crucial need for a lower-segment Cesarean section for the safety of both herself and her unborn baby, financial constraints loomed heavily over her and her husband.
During her seventh month of pregnancy, Rukhsana visited a local hospital for a routine checkup. Her gynecologist, after careful consideration of her medical history and current condition, recommended another C-section for a safe delivery. Financial limitations posed a significant hurdle as Rukhsana and her husband struggled to cover even basic household expenses on a monthly income of PKR 30,000.
With no means to afford the necessary surgical procedure, Rukhsana expressed her distress at being unable to provide herself with proper nutrition and medication. Transparent Hands became her beacon of hope, yet it was the collective kindness of compassionate donors that illuminated the path to safe delivery for Rukhsana and her unborn child.
She was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital on 30th September 2023, Rukhsana underwent the necessary C-section procedure under the skilled hands of Dr. Rukhshanda Toheed. The same day witnessed the arrival of a healthy baby boy, filling Rukhsana’s heart with immeasurable joy and relief.
However, following the delivery, the baby faced Respiratory distress and was immediately admitted to the ICU at Lahore Care Hospital. The newborn remained in the ICU from 30th September 2023 to 9th October 2023 under constant medical care and monitoring.
On 9th October 2023, after receiving attentive care and treatment, the baby showed significant improvement and was discharged from the ICU in a satisfactory condition. The collective support extended by the donors not only secured a safe delivery for Rukhsana’s baby but also provided the necessary medical care during the infant’s time in the ICU.
