Saba Ishaq, a 23-year-old resident of Faisalabad, experienced a life-altering event when she tragically lost her left arm in a road accident. The aftermath of this devastating incident plunged Saba into a state of profound despair as she faced the daunting task of adapting to life without a vital limb. The loss left her feeling incomplete, and even the simplest daily tasks became arduous challenges, eroding her confidence and independence. Recognizing the critical need for an artificial arm to restore functionality and mobility, Saba sought assistance to overcome the limitations imposed by her circumstances.

Following the accident, Saba was swiftly transported to the hospital, where she received immediate emergency medical care. Despite the dedicated efforts of medical professionals, the extent of her injuries necessitated a below-elbow amputation. The subsequent recommendation for an artificial arm emerged as a crucial step towards her physical and emotional rehabilitation.

Residing in a modest household with her family in Faisalabad, Saba faced significant financial constraints that rendered her unable to independently bear the expenses associated with acquiring an artificial arm. Through the compassionate generosity of donors, Saba underwent a successful amputation procedure on November 4th, 2023, at Hope Rehabilitation Centre under the expert supervision of Dr. Khalid Niaz. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Saba extended her heartfelt appreciation to Transparent Hands for their invaluable assistance throughout her journey towards recovery. The provision of an artificial arm became a turning point in Saba’s life, enabling her to regain functionality and a sense of independence.
