Saeeda Bibi Is No Longer Suffering from Umbilical Pain

Saeeda BiBi's Story

Saeeda Bibi, a 54-year-old woman from Lahore, had a lump in her umbilical region which was giving her extreme discomfort and pain. She received symptomatic treatment but nothing provided lasting relief. Over time, her lump increased in size and took a toll on her physical and emotional well-being. After suffering for a while, she decided to take advanced medical advice. She consulted a doctor, who, after running some diagnostic tests and an ultrasound scan diagnosed her with Paraumbilical hernia and advised mesh Hernioplasty with Lipectomy. Unfortunately, Saeeda’s family couldn’t afford the surgery.

Saeeda lives in a small rented house with her husband and five children. Saeeda works as a housemaid, her husband and sons are daily wage laborers. However, the family’s monthly income was insufficient to cover even their basic needs. Due to their financial constraints, paying for the surgery was significantly challenging for them. However, Saeeda desperately needed the surgery as her pain became unbearable, leaving her drained. After struggling for a while, she learned about Transparent Hands and asked us for help. We listened to her concerns and registered her case.

On 7th August 2024, Saeeda was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital. The surgery was scheduled on the same day. Dr. Ahmed Fawad, an experienced surgeon, performed her Mesh Hernioplasty and Lipectomy. Following surgery, Saeeda stayed in the hospital for two days and received post-operative care.

On 9th August 2024, she was discharged from the hospital in a stable condition. Saeeda expressed her gratitude as follows:
