Safi Ur Rehman's Story

Safi-ur-Rehman, aged 11 years, a resident of Kasur has not been able to hear since he was born. When his parents noticed that she was not responding to sounds, they took him to the doctor. There he was diagnosed with a condition known as Sensorineural Hearing Loss. The doctor recommended a Cochlear Implant for Safi-ur-Rehman. For this purpose he was referred to the National Hospital and Medical Center. Here his surgery was performed and a Cochlear Implant was installed by Dr. Naveed Aslam on 28.08.2021 on the right side of his head. He was discharged in a stable condition after two days of hospital stay. However, this was not the end of his procedure. He will soon visit the hospital again for the placement of the external component of his device.
