Saim Ali's Story

Five-year-old Saim, a resident of Khushab, had been suffering from dyspnea and cyanosis since birth. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with Dextrocardia, Transposition of the great arteries, a large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), interrupted inferior Vena Cava, and a Univentricular Heart. The cardiac surgeon advised Angiography and Open-Heart Surgery (CP Shunt). He was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, where his operation was performed by Dr. Asim Khan on 28-07-2022. He was discharged after five days of stay in the hospital. The Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation supported this surgery. He has recovered fully after the surgery.
