Shabana Kousar Received Chemotherapy Sessions
Shabana Kousar's Story
Shabana Kousar, a 38-year-old woman from Gujranwala, was facing severe pain because of a lump on her right breast. Upon consultation from an oncologist, she got the shocking news about having right-sided breast cancer. She underwent a right modified radical mastectomy (MRM) to remove the tender lump on her breast. To combat the disease, her doctor prescribed chemotherapy as the next crucial step in her treatment plan.
Shabana’s breast cancer was HER2-positive. In addition to chemotherapy, her oncologist recommended the administration of Herceptin Injections to completely beat the cancer.
Shabana was unable to perform her household chores due to an intense pain in her breast. Additionally, a big obstacle loomed over her path to recovery—financial constraints. The cost of the life-saving treatment seemed impossible. Yet, a ray of hope emerged when Shabana contacted Transparent Hands for financial support.
With our assistance, Shabana Kousar was admitted to INMOL Cancer Hospital. Under the supervision of Dr. Wajeeha Anjum, she received 12 injections of Herceptin from 08-03-2024 to 19-04-2024 – a critical medication that needed to be continued for her recovery. Shabana was happy to get rid of her fear of having cancer.
Shabana said with tears of gratitude:
“I will always remember the kindness of Transparent Hands and all the donors who helped me defeat my breast cancer.”
We express deep appreciation for the support and compassion of the donors who made her recovery possible. Your generosity has granted her a chance to embrace and cherish each precious moment. With a newfound strength, Shabana has started the next chapter of her life.
