Shabana Javed 's Story
Shabana, a determined 29-year-old resident of Karachi, has been grappling with heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and frequent urination, which have significantly impacted her quality of life. Seeking relief, she initially visited a nearby clinic where medications were prescribed, but unfortunately, her condition continued to worsen. Determined to find a solution, she sought a second opinion from a doctor, who conducted a thorough examination and diagnostic tests, leading to a diagnosis of a fibroid uterus—a condition characterized by the presence of noncancerous tumors in the uterine wall. The recommended course of action was a total abdominal hysterectomy, a surgical procedure aimed at removing the uterus. Faced with this daunting prospect, Shabana turned to Transparent Hands, refusing to give up hope in her pursuit of a healthier future. Promising her the best possible medical care, we rallied support and generous donations, offering Shabana a beacon of hope amidst her struggles.
Shabana’s journey towards healing led her to Murshid Hospital, Karachi, where she was admitted for her surgery. Under the skilled hands of Dr. Ammara, the total abdominal hysterectomy was successfully performed on 6-7-2023. The surgery aimed to remove the fibroid uterus, alleviating Shabana’s symptoms and offering her a chance at a life free from pain and discomfort.
Throughout her stay at the hospital, Shabana received outstanding care from the dedicated medical staff, who demonstrated their expertise and compassion. After a period of post-operative observation, Shabana was discharged from the hospital, marking a significant milestone in her journey towards recovery.
Shabana and her family extend their heartfelt gratitude to Transparent Hands and the selfless donors whose contributions made her surgery possible. Their support not only alleviated the financial burden but also restored hope and optimism to a family that had faced numerous challenges.
