Shahbaz Ali Has Beaten His Cancer
Shahbaz Ali's Story
Shahbaz Ali, a 49-year-old resident of Lahore, had been battling Salivary Gland Carcinoma for 1.5 years. He had a lump below his right ear which was giving him pain and discomfort. His condition was diagnosed with carcinoma of Parotid gland. He underwent Total Parotidectomy surgery with the help of Transparent Hands on May 21, 2024. He went to a doctor for a follow-up and was advised to undergo radiotherapy to beat the cancer fully. However, the cost of the treatment was beyond his financial capacity.
Shahbaz was scared because his family was dependent upon him for living expenses. He is the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a security guard, and earns just PKR 14,000. He lives in a modest two-room brick house. With his insufficient monthly income, he barely manages the utility bills as well as educational expenses. With no financial savings or insurance at all, Shahbaz was losing hope. A ray of hope arose when a neighbor told him about Transparent Hands. After knowing about his condition, we swiftly registered his case. Through the support of donors, Shahbaz received radiotherapy at a reputable hospital on our panel.
In September 2024, Shahbaz began to receive radiotherapy sessions at CMH, Lahore. Dr. Sohaib Nadeem skillfully managed his treatment. The treatment was a success, giving him a new hope in life.
Shahbaz Ali said with happiness:
“I am so thankful to the donors who helped me. This treatment saved my life and allowed me to regain my strength. I can now spend the rest of my life without fear of pain. I can’t thank you enough.”
After radiotherapy, Shahbaz has regained his strength and energy, and the future once again feels hopeful. Shahbaz and his family extend their heartfelt thanks to you for helping him in his time of need.
Your contributions made a meaningful difference in his life. They can never forget your generosity.
