Shahbaz Underwent Critical Surgery Successfuly
Shahbaz Ali's Story
Shahbaz Ali, a 49-year-old man from Lahore, Pakistan, had been living with a concerning lump in his right parotid region for over a year and a half. Recently, the swelling had rapidly increased, causing great distress. After undergoing a fine needle aspiration cytology, the diagnosis pointed to the possibility of Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma or Salivary Gland – a serious condition requiring urgent treatment.
Shahbaz’s financial situation presented a significant barrier, as the required surgical expenses were beyond his means. Living in a small two-room house with his wife and four children, the cost of treatment threatened to put an immense strain on his family.
Recognizing the gravity of Shahbaz’s situation, Transparent Hands stepped in to provide the necessary support. With the generosity of donors, Shahbaz was admitted to CMH Hospital in Lahore, where Dr. Asad Aizaz performed the critical surgery of Parotid tumor resection with neck dissection on May 21, 2024.
Thanks to the compassion and kindness of the donors, Shahbaz underwent the successful surgery and was discharged from the hospital after just two days. This timely intervention has given Shahbaz a renewed sense of hope and the opportunity to continue providing for his loved ones.
Shahbaz is deeply grateful to the donors and Transparent Hands for their unwavering support during this challenging time. He can now look forward to a future free from the burden of his illness, able to focus on his family’s well-being and his own recovery.
