Shamim Bibi’s Chest Wall Tumor was Removed
Shamim Bibi's Story
Shamim Bibi, a 46-year-old resident of Jhang, faced a difficult journey with breast cancer. After finding a lump in her right breast three years ago, she was diagnosed with the disease following diagnostic tests. In January 2021, she underwent a Modified Radical Mastectomy (MRM) to remove the breast and associated parts, but cancer spread to her ovaries leading to a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy (TAH) and Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy (BSO) in July 2021.
Despite being prescribed medication, another lump appeared on her chest wall, requiring excision for removal and subsequent Chemotherapy. On August 18, 2022, Dr. Ahmed Fawad performed the operation at Lahore Care Hospital and she was discharged after four days. Now in the healing phase, Shamim is preparing for Chemotherapy to continue her journey toward recovery. We are thankful for your generous donation to Transparent Hands.
