Sher Muhammad Won the Fight Against Hepatitis B
Sher Muhammad's Story
Sher Muhammad, a 35-year-old resident of Jacobabad, was experiencing frequent urination and weakness. Due to his condition, he experienced constant fatigue and discomfort which badly affected his daily activities. Concerned about his condition, he consulted a doctor, who conducted some diagnostic tests and diagnosed him with chronic liver disease, secondary to hepatitis B. The doctor recommended a comprehensive treatment plan for Sher Muhammad’s illness including antiviral medications and regular monitoring to control the virus and maintain liver health. However, the cost of the treatment was overwhelming for Sher Muhammad.
Living in a rented one-room house with his wife and four children, Sher Muhammad struggled to make ends meet. He is the sole breadwinner in the family and earns just PKR 32,500 monthly. The cost of the treatment seemed completely out of reach, leaving him and his family in an unfortunate situation. His condition was taking a toll on both his physical and emotional well-being. That’s when Transparent Hands stepped in to help Sher. Recognizing the gravity of his situation, we quickly took action to ensure he got the help he needed.
On 20th April 2024, Sher received treatment for Hepatitis B at Patel Hospital in Karachi. He was treated by Dr. Atif, who managed his case. Sher Muhammad received essential medicines and recovered after regular follow-ups.
Sher Muhammad said with teary eyes:
“I feel like I have been given a second life. Now I can work, take care of my family, and live without the constant fear of illness. I am forever thankful to everyone who helped me.”
Today, Sher’s life has changed. His health has improved significantly, allowing him to live a fuller, happier life free from the struggles of his past.
Sher Muhammad and his family extend their heartfelt thanks to you for making his recovery possible. Your kindness has given him a bright future!
