Sofia Ahmad Delivered a Beautiful Baby Girl

Sofia Ahmad's Story

Sofia Ahmad, a 27-year-old woman from Jhang, faced challenges when she was pregnant with her second child. Due to her past history of one C-section, she knew the risks involved. On a follow-up visit with her gynecologist, her doctor told her that she would need another C-section for the safe arrival of her baby into the world. Sofia got worried as the cost of the C-section was out of her family’s reach.

Sofia lived in a small rented home with her four family members. Due to a road accident, Sofia’s husband was injured and lost his ability to provide for his family. Her mother-in-law and brother-in-law worked hard and earned PKR 50,000 per month. With this income, they barely covered their house rent, utility bills, and food expenses. After covering essentials, they were left with nothing to save for Sofia’s surgery. With nowhere else to turn, Sofia contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help. Moved by her plea, we registered her case.

On March 27, 2025, Sofia was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital in Multan. She received pre-operative care and her surgery was scheduled for March 28, 2025. Her C-section was carefully performed by Dr. Humaira and Sofia gave birth to a healthy baby girl. After receiving post-operative care, Sofia was discharged in stable condition on March 30, 2025.

Sofia’s happiness was indescribable when she held her newborn in her arms. Sofia expressed her emotions as follows:
