Tahira Safely Delivered a Baby Girl

Tahira Bibi's Story

Tahira, a 24-year-old woman from Karachi, anxiously awaited the arrival of her third child. She had a history of two C-sections which filled her heart with concerns about the safe delivery of her unborn child. She went to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor, who ran some diagnostic tests and an ultrasound scan and found that Tahira would need another C-section to avoid potential complications and risks. This news left her anxious and uncertain about the future. She wanted nothing more than a safe delivery of her baby, but the overwhelming medical expenses were impossible to bear for her family.

Tahira lived in a small house with her husband and two children. As a housewife, she entirely relied on her husband to fulfill living expenses. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, worked as a daily wage laborer and earned just PKR 20,000 per month. This monthly income was insufficient to cover household expenses. Their financial situation was stretched thin and affording to pay for her much-needed C-section was significantly challenging for them. During this time of need, Tahira turned to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance. We listened to her concerns, and promptly registered her case.

On 22nd July 2024, Tahira was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. The surgery took place on 23rd July 2024. Dr. Farkhanada Saeed performed the procedure. Tahira’s C-section went smoothly and she gave birth to a baby girl, bringing a wave of joy for her and her family.
Tahira stayed in the hospital for three days and received post-operative care. On 25th July 2024.

she was discharged in satisfactory condition from the hospital. Tahira was overjoyed and she said:
