Umar’s heart surgery was successful
Muhammad Umar's Story
Muhammad Umar, a two-year-old resident of Lahore, had been suffering from shortness of breath even with mild exertion since birth. Upon consultation and work up, he was diagnosed with atrial septal defect (ASD) . The doctor advised Umar to undergo a Closure of Atrial Septal Defect surgery. Hence, he was sent to University of Lahore Teaching Hospital for his procedure. His surgery was performed by Dr. Salman A Shah on 19-11-2021 with the help of Pakistan Children Heart’s Foundation. His surgery was successful and he was discharged after four days of hospital stay in satisfactory condition. He is now healed and looks forward to a bright future ahead.
