Muhammad Waqas's Story

Muhammad Waqas, 4 ½ years old, was diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s disease at birth. He had his ileostomy made for intestinal obstruction at the age of 6 months. Later, his affected large intestine was removed by Duhamel pull-through surgery, conducted through Transparent Hands. He was advised another surgery to close his ileostomy. This surgery was done at Akram Medical Complex, on 15-11-19, by Dr Naveed Haider. Waqas stayed for 10 days and recovered well during his hospital stay. He was discharged in good health.
