Sakhla Tawas's Story
Sakhla Bibi, 8 years of age, was suffering from recurrent throat pain for the last two years. She was diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis and was advised a tonsillectomy – the surgical removal of the tonsils, two oval-shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat — one tonsil on each side. Her surgery was done on 14-09-2020 by Dr. Muuddasir at Ahmad Medical Complex, Mardan. She remained admitted in the hospital for three days after her surgery and was discharged in a stable condition. Sakhla Bibi has returned back to her normal life, just like other girls and boys her age.
