You Empowered Huzaifa Khan with a Hearing Aid

Muhammad Huzaifa Khan, a 2-year-old boy from Rawalpindi, was born without the ability to hear. His parents observed that he did not react when they called his name or tried to get his attention through sounds. Unlike other children of his age, Huzaifa remained unaware of the sounds around him, leaving his parents increasingly concerned about his development. Huzaifa’s parents took him to a specialist for a detailed medical evaluation. After conducting hearing assessments and some necessary examinations, the doctor diagnosed him with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. It is a condition that affects the inner ear and significantly impairs the ability to hear. To help him hear and engage more effectively with the world around him, the doctor recommended a hearing aid. Unfortunately, the cost of the device was beyond the family’s financial capacity.

Huzaifa lives in a modest home with his parents and two younger siblings. His father is the sole provider for the family and works as a government employee, earning only PKR 50,000 per month. Due to various household expenses, utility bills, children’s needs, and other daily necessities, the family struggled to make ends meet. Due to financial constraints, affording to pay for the hearing aid was not possible for them. In their search for support, they approached Transparent Hands and shared their concerns. After a thorough evaluation, we promptly registered Huzaifa’s case.

On May 4, 2026, Huzaifa received  STARKEY EVOLV BTE 2000 Power Plus hearing aid, along with a custom earmold. The procedure was performed by Dr. Aqsa. The hearing aid carefully adjusted according to his hearing requirements. His parents received counseling on its proper use and maintenance to ensure the best possible outcome.

Expressing his gratitude, Huzaifa’s father said:

Today, Huzaifa is gradually adapting to his hearing aid and beginning a new chapter in his life.
