You Ensured Abdul Hameed’s Recovery From Hemorrhoids

Abdul Hameed, an 80-year-old resident of Lahore, had been suffering from intense pain and swelling around his anal region. With each passing day, simple movements like sitting, walking, and even standing became increasingly difficult for him. He also experienced bleeding during bowel movements, which added to his discomfort and anxiety. Realizing that his condition was getting worse, Abdul Hameed visited a nearby hospital for a proper medical evaluation. The doctor advised an ultrasound scan along with several lab tests. After reviewing the results, he was diagnosed with third-degree hemorrhoids. To ease his suffering, the doctor recommended a hemorrhoidectomy. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond the reach of his family.

Abdul Hameed lived in a small home shared by a joint family of 12 members. Due to his age and illness, he was no longer able to earn a living. His two sons, who worked as daily wage laborers, bore the burden of supporting the entire household. With limited income and multiple mouths to feed, the family could not possibly afford the surgical expenses. Watching their father in pain while being unable to help him left them heartbroken and desperate. During this time of need, Abdul Hameed’s family turned to Transparent Hands. With the support of generous donors, Abdul Hameed was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Lahore. On February 10, 2025, Dr. Ahmed Fawad performed a successful hemorrhoidectomy. After proper post-operative care, he was discharged in a stable condition on February 11, 2025.
