Muhammad Saleem Muhammad Siddique's Story

Muhammad Saleem, a 33-year-old resident of Lahore, experienced a life-altering incident seven years ago that left him with a crushed right leg while working in the fields with a wheat fodder machine. To save his life, his leg had to be amputated below knee level. After the amputation, Saleem faced the daunting task of adapting to life with a disability and the associated challenges.

Living in a small house with six family members, Saleem carried the responsibility of being the sole breadwinner. However, his monthly income of just PKR 25,000 posed significant financial constraints, barely meeting the needs of his family. Affording an artificial leg seemed like an impossible dream. Faced with this predicament, Saleem turned to Transparent Hands for assistance, hoping for a chance to regain his mobility and independence.

Fortunately, Saleem’s journey took a positive turn thanks to the incredible support and kindness of generous donors who rallied behind his cause. Transparent Hands, driven by their unwavering commitment to making a difference, took up his case with determination. Their goal was to provide Saleem with a much-needed prosthetic leg, enabling him to walk again.

On March 18, 2024, Saleem’s long-awaited day arrived. With the help of Transparent Hands, he was able to receive a fitting for an artificial limb at the renowned Hope Rehabilitation Centre, under the experienced supervision of Dr. Khalid Niaz. The fitting was successful, marking a significant milestone in Saleem’s journey toward recovery.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Muhammad Saleem expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Transparent Hands for their unwavering support throughout his challenging path. The assistance they provided was not merely financial; it was a lifeline that restored his hope and ability to navigate the world with newfound confidence. His story reminds us all of the transformative power of empathy and the incredible difference we can make in the lives of others by extending a helping hand in their time of need.
